Contact: One 1.5 hour lecture and one 1.5 hour tutorial per week.

Objectives:
On completion of the subject students will:
- have consolidated the skills developed in Advanced Level 2A;
- be able to read Indonesian texts of different styles and registers (from bureaucratic, academic, newspaper, and literary variants to substandard slang).
Content:
A study of Indonesian socio-historical, political and literary texts. The subject is conducted in Indonesian and is intended to develop students' skills in debating and interpreting.
Assessment:
Written assignments totalling 4,000 words, plus one 2-hour written examination.
