Credit points: 18.75 1st year, 16.7 2nd and 3rd years

Objectives:

Students on completion of the subject should be able to understand authentic Greek speech and writing to the point of handling common interpersonal transactions confidently, and of understanding and producing simple descriptions, narrations, and expressions of attitudes and opinions.

Content:

Comprehension and expression; complex linguistic structures; social conventions and attitudes.

Assessment:

Regular exercises and class tests (50 per cent); and a 2-hour examination (50 per cent).
