Prerequisite: Admission to 4th year Geography honours, plus 121-212/312 Geomorphology and either 121-349 Principles of Environmental Hydrology, 121-305 Environmental Hydrology B or 121-360 Environmental Hydrology.
Contact: Three hours of seminars per week.

Objectives:
Students who complete this subject should:
- be familiar with the current literature of selected major branches of geomorphology;
- understand and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the major concepts and theories of the selected major branches of geomorphology;
- be able to critically evaluate and review geomorphological writing.
Content:
Directed reading and tutorials on selected major fields within geomorphology; the critical review of reports, articles and books in the geomorphological literature.
Assessment:
Seminar papers totalling 4,000 words; book review of 2,000 words.
