Objectives:
At the end of the subject, students should have:
- a good knowledge of the process of translating and of the various approaches to the problems of translation;
- a good competence for the translation of complex texts of various registers.
Content:
The subject presents aspects of translation theory and possible approaches to various problems of translation.
Assessment:
Written work totalling not more than 6,000 words: One seminar paper to be submitted in an essay form (2,000 words) (40 per cent); one practical exercise (20 per cent); one two-hour test at the end of the subject (40 per cent).
