A study of Italian language and style (written and spoken). A study of selected literary texts; an introduction to 19th and 20th century Italian political history.

Assessment:

Two 1,000-word essays (50 per cent). Not more than two hours of written tests (40 per cent). Continuous assessment (10 per cent).
