Objectives:
In addition to the above, students completing this subject should
- have an understanding of the graphical, sculptural and other techniques which have been used to represent Renaissance and post-Renaissance architecture
- have an understanding of the historical functioning of these representations
- have an understanding of the critical techniques which have been developed to enable the non professional to articulate his or her response to architecture.
Content:
Architecture as the subject of representations, from c.1450 to the mid 20th Century.
Assessment:
Written work which may comprise class papers, essays, exercises, visual tests or take-home examinations totalling about 5,000 words.
