Objectives:
Students who complete this subject successfully will have:
- an understanding of some medieval and modern forms of representation;
- some familiarity with medieval and modern debates about representation;
- a basic reading-knowledge of Middle English.
Content:
This subject offers a comparison of medieval and modern forms of representation, focusing on questions of knowledge and sexuality. No prior knowledge of Middle English will be assumed.
Assessment:
Written work of not more than 6,000 words.
