104-442 Honours Seminar in Archaeology 2

Year 4 Archaeology.

Credit points: 16.7 4th year

Coordinator: Associate Professor A Sagona.

Prerequisite: Entry into Honours or equivalent programme.

Contact: Two hours a week.

Timetable: Second semester

Objectives:

Students on completion of the subject should have acquired an advanced understanding of archaeological critical analysis for the study of ancient cultures.

Content:

The content of the subject, which could be taught in given years by different staff with a varying focus, will be structured around the archaeology of the Mediterranean. Initially, the content will focus on the Bronze Age of the eastern Mediterranean.

Assessment:

Written work, tests and examinations totalling no more than 6,000 words.
