Objectives:
Students on completion of this subject should have a developed reading knowledge of Classical Hebrew, and a general knowledge of the grammar of the Semitic languages.
Content:
A reading course in Classical Hebrew literary texts and inscriptions. The focus of this subject is on detailed linguistic analysis and interpretation of selected texts from a wide range of literatures.
Assessment:
4th yearWritten work, tests and examinations totalling no more than 6,000 words.
