Objectives:
Students on completion of this subject should have a reading knowledge of Classical Hebrew, and a broad knowledge of the place of Classical Hebrew within the Semitic language family.
Content:
A reading course in Classical Hebrew literary texts and inscriptions, with an introduction to Hebrew as a classical Semitic language.
Assessment:
4th yearWritten work, tests and examinations totalling no more than 6,000 words.
