Prerequisite: Any two Arts subjects or permission of the Head of the Department.

Contact: Two lectures and a tutorial a week.

Timetable: First semester

Objectives:

Students on completion of the subject should have acquired an understanding of Greek architectural development and the use of the Classical orders.

Content:

The development of Greek architecture from the Minoans up to the end of Hellenistic period.

Assessment:

3,000 words of written work (50 per cent), a slide test (15 per cent) and a 2-hour examination (35 per cent).
