Objectives:
Students on completion of the subject should have read a number of Latin texts in the original and consolidated their knowledge of grammar and syntax.
Content:
Reading literary texts; further work on grammar and syntax; translation exercises; Latin literary criticism.
Assessment:
Regular exercises and class tests (50 per cent) and a 2-hour examination (50 per cent).
