Contact: Up to 4 hours of lectures, seminars, and tutorials per week; and additional studio work.
Timetable: Second semester
Objectives:
On completion of this subject students should be able to demonstrate a developed understanding of a specialist aspect of design, or an inter-disciplinary specialist aspect of design.
Content:
Students will undertake a series of studio-based exercises leading to the development of a major design project based on the disciplinary or inter-disciplinary theme of the design studio.
Assessment:
Assessment will be based on a major design project and a review of a portfolio of all assignments set during the semester. (Project, studio tests, exercises, reports, and tutorial presentations to the equivalent of 7,500 words. Details will be made available within the first 2 weeks of the semester. )
