702-208 Computers in Architecture

Credit points: 12.5

Coordinator: Bruce Duyshart and Jonathan Finkelstein.

Prerequisite: Communications 1A & 1B

Contact: Up to 4 hours of lectures and practical work per week.

Timetable: First semester

Objectives:

On completion of this subject students should be able to demonstrate the acquisition of architectural computing skills necessary for architectural design and documentation.

Content:

Students will undertake a series of exercises to develop an understanding of the use of CAD in architectural practice.

Assessment:

Assessment will be based on a review of a portfolio of all assignments set during the semester. (Assignments to the equivalent of 7,500 words. Details, including the weighting of assessment, will be made available within the first 2 weeks of the semester. )
