<OBJECTIVES>On completion of this subject students should be able to:
<ul>
<li>understand the development of educational television, computers and other media;
<li>understand television studio production techniques and other media production techniques;
<li>apply practical skills in television studio production and computer-assisted instruction or other media production techniques; and
<li>demonstrate a critical attitude to television, computers and other media as instructional media in education.
</ul>
<CONTENT>A pilot study involving the selection of an appropriate instructional medium research on the effectiveness of that medium and the production, trialling and evaluation of an instructional program.
<ASSESSMENT>An assignment of 1,500 words (50 per cent); a project (50 per cent).
