Double semester Three hours of seminars per week To introduce students to issues involved in research strategies involving selection of research topic, literature search and data collection. To develop skills in time management of research and report writing, to achieve a suitable standard of report writing in terms of analysis, structure and style, including bibliographic standards. The research essay, which should not exceed 12,000 words, is to be on a topic approved by the Head of the Department of Economic History. The essay itself is examined.
