<PREREQUISITES>Prerequisites in any year will depend on the content and topic under examination. Students must gain the permission of the coordinator before enrolling in this subject.

<OBJECTIVES>On completion of this subject a student should:
<ul>
<li>be familiar with the contemporary research work in the particular field of expertise of the presenter;
<li>understand both the background and the direction of future research in the particular area examined.
</ul>
</OBJECTIVES>
<CONTENT>Content will vary according to the expertise of the particular lecturer, but will cover contemporary research developments in topics such as corporate finance, cost and management accounting, financial accounting/audit and information systems.
<ASSESSMENT>The equivalent of 3,000 words of assessment which may take the form of an open book examination or some suitable substitute.
