16.7 3rd year Associate Professor J S Martin. Intermediate Swedish Second Year B (126-224). Second semester A one-hour lecture and a one-and-a-half-hour seminar a week. At the conclusion of the subject the students will have:

• further consolidated their knowledge of the Swedish language at an advanced level;
• deepened their understanding of the society, history, culture and literature of Sweden, principally through the medium of the Swedish language;
• examined certain periods of Swedish society from the Viking Era to modern times through the medium of the Swedish language.
