<CONTACT>One 1-hour lecture a week and four hours of practical classes a week. Students are expected to spend additional time practising the language outside of class hours.
<CONTENT>This subject continues to emphasize the acquisition of Spanish through a communicative approach to language learning but on a more advanced level than Spanish IB 1. throughout the semester, cultural aspects of the Hispanic world are incorporated into the language classes.
<ASSESSMENT>End of semester written test: 30%; coursework consisting of tests and written exercises: 20%; and oral work: 50% (= Aural comprehension and transcription exercises 10%; reading performance and comprehension 10%; oral summaries of written and audiovisual materials 10%; production and presentation of role play dialogues 10%; prounuciation exercises 10%)
