<OBJECTIVES>Students on completion of the subject should be able to analyse, interpret and discuss genres of Modern Greek folk literature and issues pertaining to their collection, classification and cultural significance in an informed and critical manner.
<CONTENT>Study of various oral-traditional texts and issues concerning their transmission, collection, analysis and cultural significance.
<ASSESSMENT>3,000 words of written work (50 per cent) and a 2-hour examination (50 per cent).
