<OBJECTIVES>By the end of the subject, students should:

<li>understand the main phonological, grammatical and semantic features of Australian Aboriginal languages;
<li>have acquired a detailed analytic knowledge of a particular Aboriginal language.

<CONTENT>An investigation of the features of Australian Aboriginal languages, through the study of a particular Aboriginal language.
<ASSESSMENT>Four assignments and an essay totalling no more than 5,000 words.
