<OBJECTIVES>By the end of the subject, students should:
<ul>
<li>be able to demonstrate a firm understnding of the relevant areas of the Russian language;
<li>be able to describe particular secitons of the system in appropriate linguistic terms;
<li>be able to relate the Russian system to other languages that they have studied.

<CONTENT>Russian phonology, morphology and morpho-phonology.
<ASSESSMENT>Regular assignments and two 1-hour papers, totalling 5,000 words.
