16.7 2nd and 3rd years Ms Anne de Kretser. Intermediate Japanese (Business) 1 or equivalent. Second semester Six hours a week throughout the semester. Intermediate grammar and syntex taught where possible in situational contexts using multi-media materials. Emphasis is on developing communicative competence. Oral and written weekly class exercises (15%); interview assignment (20%); one 2-hour test (30%), two oral tests (20%) and two aural tests(15%).
