<OBJECTIVES>The student will receive a broad grounding in research methods and materials for Japanese studies, particularly in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The student will also prepare a research design and annotated bibliography as a preparation for undertaking honours level studies.
<CONTENT>An introduction to the materials and methodology for undertaking research on Japan.
<ASSESSMENT>Written work of 5,000 words.
