<OBJECTIVES>On completion of the subject students will:

<li>be able to hold simple conversations in Indonesian about a variety of topics including daily life and current issues in Indonesian culture and society;
<li>be able to read general newspaper articles and simple short stories in Indonesian with the help of a dictionary;
<li>be able to write informal letters and short essays.
