<PREREQUISITES>Hindi 2B requires an H3 or better pass in Hindi 1, or equivalent; Hindi 3B needs a pass in Hindi 2A or 2B
<SEMESTER>Double semester
<CONTACT>Two 1-hour lectures and two 1-hour tutorials per week.
<OBJECTIVES>This subject provides a thorough review of basic grammar and vocabulary in written and spoken Hindi. The subject is designed to improve the ability to read original Hindi short stories, poems and newspaper articles.
<CONTENT>Weekly grammar and translation exercises are used to consolidate the skills acquired at first year level.
<ASSESSMENT>Twenty weekly written assignments (40%), 6 oral class presentations of 20-minutes (20%) and one 3-hour examination (40%). In addition 3B students are required to watch and answer questions about a Hindi film in the end-of-year examination.
