<OBJECTIVES>In addition to the above, students completing this subject should:
<ul>
<li>have developed skills in research with primary source materials of the period;
<li>have a knowledge of the critical and contemporary literature on 19th Century English Art;
<li>have a knowledge of the painting techniques and materials of the period.
</ul>
<CONTENT>A seminar program focusing on particular aspects of the painting, sculpture, architecture, museums and patronage of Victorian England.
<ASSESSMENT>Written work which may comprise class papers, essays, visual tests or take-home examinations totalling about 6,000 words.
