16.7 4th year Ms Alison Inglis. Two art history subjects at second or third-year level. Second semester A 2-hour seminar each week In addition to the above, students completing this subject should:

• have developed skills in research with primary source materials of the period;
• have a knowledge of the critical and contemporary literature on 19th Century English Art;
• have a knowledge of the painting techniques and materials of the period.

A seminar program focusing on particular aspects of the painting, sculpture, architecture, museums and patronage of Victorian England. Written work which may comprise class papers, essays, visual tests or take-home examinations totalling about 6,000 words.
