<OBJECTIVES>In addition to the above, students completing this subject should:

<li>understand the ways in which the art and architecture of Asia, with special reference to, China, Japan and India, reflect broad international developments and their own indigenous cultures.
<li>identify the distinguishing features of the arts of China, Japan and India across national, regional and social boundaries
</ul>
<CONTENT>Traditional architecture, sculpture, painting and popular art forms of India, China and Japan.
<ASSESSMENT>Exercises and/or essays and/or visual tests totalling not more than 5,000 words.
