• understand the ways in which the art and architecture of Asia, with special reference to, China, Japan and India, reflect broad international developments and their own indigenous cultures.
• identify the distinguishing features of the arts of China, Japan and India across national, regional and social boundaries

Traditional architecture, sculpture, painting and popular art forms of India, China and Japan. Exercises and/or essays and/or visual tests totalling not more than 5,000 words.
