<OBJECTIVES>Students on completion of the subject should be introduced to the scope, achievement and principal concerns of Ancient Philosophy, and have acquired critical and analytical skills in the reading of selected Greek philosophical texts.
<CONTENT>Selected works of Plato, Aristotle and other Greek philosophers on the nature of the good life.
<ASSESSMENT>3,000 words of written work (50 per cent) and a 2-hour examination (50 per cent).
