<OBJECTIVES>By the end of the subject students will have acquired a further knowledge of classical Chinese literature, early modern Chinese literature and classical or modern Chinese poetry through reading of original texts.
<CONTENT>Further academic study of Chinese literature at honours level.
<ASSESSMENT>One 3-hour examination; not more than 3,000 words in written work. Students will be required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examinations.
