<OBJECTIVES>Students who complete this subject should have reached approximately the same level as Chinese 2B. They should have mastered the basic grammatical structures of Modern Chinese, and have a vocabulary of approximately 1,200 characters.
<CONTENT>An accelerated subject for students who speak a dialect of Chinese, and who have completed Standard Chinese A.
<ASSESSMENT>One aural/oral examination (30 minutes); one written examination (3 hours); homework to a maximum of 1,800 words. Students are required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examination.
