<OBJECTIVES>By the conclusion of this subject students should have mastered the basic grammatical structures of Modern Chinese, and have a vocabulary of approximately 1,200 characters.
<CONTENT>A post-elementary subject in Modern Chinese for students who have completed chinese 2A.
<ASSESSMENT>One aural/oral examination (1 hour); one written examination (one and a half hours); classwork to a maximum of 1,800 words. Students will be required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examinations.
