<CONTACT>Six hours per week.
<OBJECTIVES>By the end of this subject students will have a knowledge of 600 Chinese characters, and will have good knowledge of basic grammatical structures; they will also have acquired post elementary listening and speaking skills.
<CONTENT>A post-elementary subject in basic Chinese.
<ASSESSMENT>One aural/oral examination (1 hour); assignments &amp; short written tests (maximum 4,000 words); one written exam (maximum 1 hour). Students will be required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examinations.
