Second semester A lecture and two tutorials a week, or equivalent. Students on completion of the subject should have acquired a range of practical skills necessary for the primary analysis of excavated data ranging from the initial sorting of finds to final publication of material as well as having acquired the ability to make judgements based on available information; they should be able to structure and present archaeological material in a professional way and have developed an appreciation of current theoretical means of interpreting past material remains.
