<CONTACT>Up to three hours of consultation a week on a schedule to be determined by the supervising lecturer.
<OBJECTIVES>Students completing this subject should:
<ul>
<li>have developed skills in researching the available literature on a specific anthropological topic;
<li>have thoroughly understood the theoretical and empirical issues raised by that literature;
<li>be equipped to formulate and target a specific area of future research at postgraduate level.
</ul>
<CONTENT>Intensive reading and/or research in a field of ethnological study and/or an area of topical concern not covered by other subjects available. The course of study may include an appropriate subject offered in another department.
<ASSESSMENT>Up to 6,000 words of written work.
