On completion of this subject students should have developed an understanding of the literature, issues, and practices in architectural theory and compositional analysis, and have developed basic research and analytical representation skills in the subject area. The relationship between architectural theory and form, architecture as cultural practice, concepts of stylistic consistency and ideology as manifestations of architectural theory. Study of a topic of each student's own choice with approval of the Coordinator. Drawn compositional analyses, project work and reports up to the equivalent of 7,500 words to be submitted in accordance with the program of study. Details, including the weighting of assessment, will be made available within the first two weeks of semester.
