Australian Studies (Interdepartmental Program)

(History) The program in Australian Studies consists of two parts, an under-graduate program based in the Department of History and an interdepartmental fourth year and postgraduate program housed in the Australian Centre.

Requirements for a major in Australian Studies:First Year

Students considering enrolling in the program are advised to take 25 points at first-year level from the following:

Department of History

Department of English

Department of Political Science

Department of Fine Arts

Second and Third Year Subjects

Students who wish to proceed with a major in Australian Studies should take, in the course of their second or third year studies, at least two of the Australian Studies semester units (one of which should be 131-278/378: Myth and Experience) from the list of Australian Studies subjects, and three semester units from the list of subjects from other departments:
